back lighting, something I’ve been trying a bit more of lately and I’m sure the girls are thanking me for it for not having the sun in their eyes. Makeup by my big sister Gayle Carbajal.

Classic Black and White
A series I shot recently that makes me think of classic Parisian black and white fashion photos from back in the day. More new work on the way!!!

Middle of nowhere
It’s great being based in New York, with access to such great resources and being in the editorial capital of North America doesn’t hurt either. However, I rarely if ever shoot in New York City itself. It’s full of distractions, crowds, obnoxious guys and my personal favorite, cops that have nothing better to do.
My style also doesn’t really reflect a cosmopolitan big city feel either, I’d much rather favor the middle of no where look that could be anywhere in the world. I like arbitrary locations rather than specific iconic locations, it gives off the “where did they shoot that?” mystic.

Sorry for the lack of posts lately, I’ve been pretty busy and major website updates are in the works.
I came across this adorable photo of two of my favourite models Luana Teifke (left) and Débora Muller. Working with Brazilian models has produced consistently good results for me. Perhaps it’s their easy out going nature that really clicks with my style…or maybe I was from Brazil in a previous life!
