Sometimes things work out
There are challenging aspects of my job that are not the most glamorous at times, a lot of it doesn’t even relate to the actual act of photographing itself. Half of the job feels like scheduling and coordinating shoots with people, seeing what day and time works, making sure the weather and light will cooperate with us on that particular day, figuring what are the possible back up plans in case of bad weather, these are some of the challenges that go along with working on location.
There is more work and stress involved as opposed to working in a studio, but when things go work out, the culmination of the planning, scouting and risks involved make it all the more rewarding. The high reward factor is probably why I enjoy locations so much.
